The audition process is simpler than you would expect.

You can get full details about how to audition in the Jeopardy website's auditions page where you can get full info as well as register to online tests.

The Jeopardy auditions take place in Culver City California, but to get a chance to audition you first have to pass the Jeopardy online test on their website. These tests happen occasionally and when they do, they are announced on the TV show, so if you follow the program (which would definitely be a good idea if you want to become a contestant on the show) you will know when they will be held.

Separate online tests are held for the different categories of contestants so there are tests for Adults, College students, Teens 13 and 17 years old, and Kids between the ages of 10 and 12.

If you pass the test, you will be invited to an audition but you will never know your score whether you pass or fail. This info is considered confidential by Jeopardy, probably so people don't use it to figure out some of their trade secrets and how the tests work.

If you don't like the Internet (?), there is another way to get into the game show's auditions - the traveling auditions called "the Brain Bus", schedule of which is available (duh) on the Internet.

If you make it past this pre-qualification round, you will be invited to the Jeopardy studio where you will take a 50 trivia questions "in-person" test, then get to play jeopardy in the audition, and finally do a personality interview.
